FROM HOME

From Home is a self-published book that documents the social history of Atholl through interviews with its residents. It is a fascinating read for those wanting to relive and discover stories of life in Atholl and those who wish to explore the area more, as well as being a perfect coffee table companion for anyone interested in rural Scotland and photography.

The project also aims to help people across Scotland to remember the value of community and what we have on our doorstep. Rural Scotland’s beauty is found not only in its landscapes, but also in the stories of people who make their lives there, and From Home makes the time to listen to these stories and champion them. Many members of the community in Atholl have been involved with the project, which has acted as a connection between people who were previously becoming disconnected as times changed.
